  2.                                  Network  Rules

  4.     │ ■ Network business will be discussed in the  MediNet NetAdmin Conf.  │
  5.     │   If it develops elsewhere, 'move it' into the NetAdmin conference.  │
  6.     │ ■ The NETAdmin Conf is the only required conference.                 │
  7.     │   There are no exceptions to this  and space must not be a problem.  │
  8.     │ ■ SysOps must correct any detrimental activity leaving their board.  │
  9.     │   This includes duplicates, abusive users, improper taglines, cross  │
  10.     │   echoed conferences. Regionals & Hubs must ensure that their nodes  │
  11.     │   take corrective action against any or all of these problem areas.  │
  12.     │ ■ Any user may be removed from the echoes  for flaming or fighting.  │
  13.     │   We cannot ask that they be removed as users of your board  but if  │
  14.     │   they are a problem to the network they mustn't have access to it.  │
  15.     │ ■ SysOps will make their users  aware of MediNet confs not carried.  │
  16.     │   This must be done by means of news screens and/or bulletins. Also  │
  17.     │   if you are carrying multiple networks,  please have in your conf-  │
  18.     │   erence menu display some sort of 'coding' that differentiates our  │
  19.     │   conferences  from other conferences that you also have available.  │
  20.     │ ■ Obvious "aliases" cannot be used anywhere in MediNet conferences.  │
  21.     │   This is a NON-NEGOTIABLE RULE. We're not telling you that you can  │
  22.     │   not have aliased users but if you do they must NOT be able to ac-  │
  23.     │   cess or enter messages into ANY of MediNet Network's conferences.  │
  24.     │ ■ EVERY MediNet Network tag must begin w/ the text string "MediNet"  │
  25.     │   PCRelay members must use the NET.ID file supplied from the 'host'  │
  26.     │   system or their regional or hub. The QWK format members must have  │
  27.     │   this string in the 'TAG' or 'HTAG' portion of their config files.  │
  28.     │ ■ PCBoard  'macros'  are not to be used *anywhere* in this network.  │
  29.     │   Although PCBoards make up a majority of the network, the 'macros'  │
  30.     │   it supports is NOT supported by  the other BBS software packages.  │
  31.     │ ■ Acceptance to the network will be determined by the administrator  │
  32.     │   and the regional or hub  that the applicant would be assigned to.  │
